Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of federal and state government information systems, ensuring compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
- Perform security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk management activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Agile methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and developers.
- Ensure 24/7 system availability and manage incident response protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical role within the Federal, State, or Local Government sector.
- Certification in Security+ or CISSP is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or .NET within a government environment.
- Experience with SQL database management and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
