Responsibilities
- System Analysis & Design: Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and design technical solutions to support FDOT transportation projects.
- Application Development: Develop, test, and maintain custom software applications using modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, SQL).
- Project Management Support: Assist in the coordination of IT projects, ensuring milestones are met and stakeholders are updated on progress.
- Technical Support: Troubleshoot complex technical issues, provide end-user support, and document technical specifications and standard operating procedures.
- Data Management: Manage database integrity, perform data analysis, and create reports to support decision-making processes.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all IT systems comply with state and federal regulations, including cybersecurity standards and data privacy laws.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT support.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, and .NET/C# development environments. Experience with GIS software is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to system maintenance.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional overtime during project deployments or emergencies.
