We're seeking a dedicated IT Security Specialist to implement advanced security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and lead incident response operations. This role requires deep technical expertise and a commitment to safeguarding sensitive government data against evolving cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level cybersecurity frameworks and compliance controls
- Conduct periodic security audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting and forensic analysis
- Develop security policies and procedures aligned with NIST and FISMA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into system architectures
- Maintain security monitoring tools and generate executive-level threat intelligence reports
- Provide cybersecurity training to federal employees and contractors
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity role with hands-on experience in network security
- Professional certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+) or equivalent technical expertise
- Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and security automation tools
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
