Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain secure network architectures using DoD-approved cybersecurity frameworks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Develop incident response plans for cyber threats and execute remediation protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and triage potential breaches
- Lead security awareness training for federal personnel
- Manage digital forensic investigations for security incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active DoD Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- 5+ years in IT security with 2+ years in federal/government environments
- CompTIA Security+ CE, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Experience with Windows/Linux system hardening and secure configuration
- Knowledge of DoD RMF (Risk Management Framework) process
