Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity controls for federal networks and systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security gaps
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation efforts
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and other federal security standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into IT infrastructure
- Mentor junior staff and stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats and technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience in federal/government environments
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Expertise in risk assessment methodologies and security frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
- Experience with SIEM tools and security automation platforms
