Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans of federal networks and systems.
- Implement and enforce security protocols and policies in compliance with NIST and FedRAMP standards.
- Lead incident response efforts to detect, analyze, and neutralize cyber threats.
- Manage access control systems and perform regular security audits to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff and stakeholders on cybersecurity awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network engineering, or information assurance.
- Deep understanding of federal IT frameworks, including FISMA and NIST 800-53.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a high-stakes environment.
