Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and networks to support government operations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in real-time to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local cybersecurity standards and data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and provide innovative solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and security assessments to mitigate risks.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to state employees and internal stakeholders.
- Manage software licenses, inventory, and hardware upgrades effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering within the public sector.
- Proven knowledge of federal and state government IT policies, security protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and cloud technologies (Azure/Google Cloud).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or PMP are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to travel between government facilities.
