Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure and hardware systems for county operations.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for essential services.
- Manage user access, permissions, and Active Directory administration for over 5,000 employees.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement compliance protocols to protect sensitive citizen data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and modernize our digital services.
- Provide technical support and training to government staff on new software and hardware deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in network administration, system engineering, or IT support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure or AWS) is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
