Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure and server environments.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure 99.9% uptime for essential city services.
- Manage cybersecurity protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to city staff and citizens.
- Oversee software licensing, hardware inventory, and technology refresh cycles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into government workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
