Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring: Real-time monitoring of network traffic and systems to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and threats.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery activities for security breaches.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and DoD security directives.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI access is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network defense.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
- Skills: Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, and endpoint protection systems.
