Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network systems and cybersecurity protocols
- Provide technical support for veterans' healthcare applications and VA-specific software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT infrastructure modernization projects
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and compliance with federal IT standards
- Develop documentation for technical procedures and disaster recovery plans
- Analyze system performance metrics and recommend optimization solutions
- Train staff on new technologies and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration or network management
- Active Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8570 compliance
- Experience with federal IT frameworks (NIST, FISMA)
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a regulated environment
