Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure IT infrastructure supporting federal operations
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to ensure compliance with federal IT standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Manage cloud platforms and hybrid systems for critical government applications
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for national security systems
- Mentor junior IT staff and document technical procedures for knowledge continuity
- Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in IT systems administration with federal or enterprise environments
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance within 30 days)
- Professional certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or AWS/Azure cloud certifications
- Expertise in network security, firewalls, and endpoint protection systems
