The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining our IT infrastructure and providing technical support to state employees.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for hardware and software systems.
- Install, configure, and manage workstations, printers, and peripherals across the state agency.
- Maintain and secure the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
- Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Assist in the deployment of new IT assets, software updates, and security patches.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate service tickets and logs.
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve complex network and hardware issues.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Valid certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tickets.
- Effective communication skills to train non-technical staff on software usage.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
