Responsibilities
- Implement Security Protocols: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity framework to protect federal information systems.
- Conduct Assessments: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks.
- Monitor Threats: Analyze security alerts and logs to detect, diagnose, and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Manage Access: Administer user permissions, access controls, and authentication mechanisms to ensure strict compliance.
- Compliance Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on system security status to ensure adherence to federal regulations (FISMA).
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of security breaches and system outages.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with favorable adjudication is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or information security roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with network security appliances, firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto), and SIEM tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal compliance standards and security best practices.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and stakeholder management.
