As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet federal compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT infrastructure, network security protocols, and hardware systems.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
- Conduct regular security audits and ensure strict compliance with FISMA and NIST standards.
- Provide advanced technical support, training, and documentation for agency staff and stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Collaborate with external vendors to procure, integrate, and test new technologies.
- Monitor system performance and analyze data to optimize network efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance (preferred for federal roles).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in federal IT systems administration or network engineering.
- Deep knowledge of DoD and federal cybersecurity policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Linux, and cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).
- Strong experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and VPN configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
