Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal information systems and network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
- Implement and monitor advanced security protocols, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolving complex hardware and software issues.
- Conduct regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with federal regulations (FISMA).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and drive digital transformation.
- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets and emergency system outages with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active Security Clearance (Public Trust or Secret) is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT environments or related technical support roles.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VPNs, and directory services (Active Directory).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced federal facility.
