Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network architectures using Cisco and Juniper equipment.
- Monitor network performance and traffic to ensure high availability and security compliance.
- Implement and maintain federal security standards (FISMA) and agency policies.
- Provide advanced technical support and training to federal staff regarding network operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to upgrade legacy systems and improve IT efficiency.
- Document network configurations and maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software assets.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required for federal employment.
- Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust background clearance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in network administration or systems engineering.
- Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or similar certifications are highly preferred.
