Position Overview:
The IT Specialist will be responsible for maintaining network systems, providing technical support, and enforcing cybersecurity standards. You will work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the efficiency of state operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the state's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive government data from cyber threats.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to plan and execute IT upgrades and migrations.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate records of system configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT systems administration or technical support.
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
