Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across multiple departments.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices (laptops, tablets, phones).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory administration tasks.
- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct regular system audits and security checks to ensure compliance with state cybersecurity policies.
- Document technical procedures, incidents, and resolutions in the knowledge base.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to upgrade and optimize existing IT systems.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant work experience (4+ years required).
- Valid CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications are strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in Help Desk support or IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Windows 10/11, macOS, and basic Linux administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively interacting with non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a government setting.
