Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot server infrastructure, including Windows and Linux environments.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard county data and network integrity.
- Monitor system performance and health, proactively resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable IT solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and backups to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to internal staff and end-users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
