Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain the county's Windows Server infrastructure and Active Directory environments.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Ensure data integrity and implement robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive county data.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to county employees, resolving complex IT inquiries efficiently.
- Collaborate with vendors to manage software licenses, hardware procurement, and service level agreements.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and technical specifications for future reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Valid Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, and Virtualization technologies.
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewalls is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
