Responsibilities
- Analyze complex system requirements and design scalable, secure, and efficient IT solutions for state infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, developers, and project managers, to define project scopes and deliverables.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies and government compliance standards.
- Conduct thorough system testing, quality assurance, and performance tuning to optimize application functionality.
- Identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring data protection and regulatory compliance (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA).
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and support staff.
- Document technical specifications, user manuals, and process flows to facilitate knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or software development within a government or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# and database management systems (SQL, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification in PMP, SAFe, or a relevant technical field is highly preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a background check and security clearance as required by the position.
