Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications and systems for County departments.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform system troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure optimal uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and government stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain data security protocols to protect sensitive citizen information.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT support.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases and relational database management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Kentucky security clearance (if applicable).
