Responsibilities
- Architect Quantum Algorithms: Design and implement scalable quantum circuits for optimization, machine learning, and cryptography problems.
- Hardware-Software Co-Design: Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to optimize code execution on specific quantum processor architectures.
- Code Optimization: Refactor and optimize Qiskit and Cirq codebases to reduce error rates and maximize coherence times.
- Research & Development: Stay at the forefront of the field by publishing research papers and exploring emerging quantum technologies.
- Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of junior quantum developers and data scientists.
- System Integration: Integrate quantum solutions into existing classical cloud infrastructure (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum).
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Masterβs degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with a focus on Quantum Information Science.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quantum computing, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior engineering capacity.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-Learn) and C++.
- Frameworks: Deep working knowledge of Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Mathematical Aptitude: Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis.
- Communication: Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
