Responsibilities
- Sort, load, and deliver mail/packages along designated routes using postal vehicles or foot
- Maintain accurate delivery records and customer communication
- Safely operate postal vehicles following all traffic regulations
- Process customer transactions at retail counters (when assigned)
- Adhere to USPS security protocols and service standards
- Perform route adjustments during peak seasons or emergencies
- Report maintenance issues with vehicles or equipment
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for scanning systems
- Strong customer service orientation
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
