Responsibilities
- Sort, load, and deliver mail/packages along assigned routes using USPS vehicles
- Collect outgoing mail and process customer transactions at mailboxes
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report service issues
- Safely operate postal vehicles and follow traffic regulations
- Provide courteous customer service at residences and businesses
- Perform preventive maintenance on delivery vehicles
- Adhere to USPS safety protocols and delivery standards
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for USPS systems and tracking tools
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
