Responsibilities
- Sort, organize, and distribute mail/packages with 99.8% accuracy using automated sorting systems
- Execute safe and efficient delivery routes covering diverse neighborhoods in San Diego
- Process customer transactions at retail counters including sales, returns, and inquiries
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and report operational irregularities immediately
- Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic regulations and safety protocols
- Perform routine equipment maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during peak seasons and special mail campaigns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years logistics/delivery experience
- Valid California driver's license with clean MVR record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and operate mechanized equipment
- Proficiency with handheld scanners and route management software
- Strong customer service orientation with conflict resolution skills
- Pass federal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for digital tracking systems
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays during peak mail seasons
