Responsibilities
- Mail Processing: Sort and organize incoming and outgoing mail and packages according to strict USPS standards and schedules.
- Route Delivery: Operate delivery vehicles (vans or trucks) to complete assigned routes efficiently, ensuring accurate delivery of mail and parcels.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, accepting packages, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with all regulations.
- Physical Handling: Lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs, navigate various terrains, and work in all weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status (dual citizens eligible).
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to read and interpret delivery maps and schedules.
