Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently using automated and manual sorting equipment.
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses along designated routes in San Francisco.
- Collect and process outgoing mail, ensuring accuracy and adherence to postal standards.
- Handle packages with the utmost care, maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction and safe handling of sensitive items.
- Interact professionally with customers, answer inquiries, and resolve delivery issues courteously.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and report any irregularities or lost items immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record (Commercial Driver’s License is a plus).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Excellent physical stamina to walk, stand, and bend for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries and tracking inventory.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident with the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
