Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain public infrastructure including roads, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Operate and coordinate maintenance of heavy equipment and municipal vehicles
- Implement stormwater management and flood prevention protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Document maintenance activities and prepare compliance reports
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during weather events
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Valid Louisiana Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years infrastructure maintenance experience
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation (backhoes, dump trucks)
- Knowledge of municipal construction standards and regulations
- Ability to work in inclement weather and emergency conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- FEMA Incident Command System (ICS) certification a plus
