Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and asphalt rollers
- Assist in stormwater management and flood control projects
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure for safety compliance
- Collaborate with urban forestry teams for vegetation management
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with airbrake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years experience in municipal construction or public works
- Certification in OSHA construction safety preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of GIS mapping and infrastructure management systems
