Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city facilities, parks, and infrastructure systems
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, loaders, and trenchers
- Implement erosion control and landscape management protocols
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls during severe weather events
- Coordinate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Conduct daily safety inspections of equipment and work sites
- Prepare detailed maintenance reports and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years maintenance experience
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or willingness to obtain
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (up to 115°F)
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Pass background check and drug screening
