Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair public facilities including parks, sidewalks, and storm drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment for municipal projects
- Implement safety protocols and comply with OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during off-hours as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or facility maintenance
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- Certification in CPR/First Aid and hazardous materials handling
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
