Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city facilities, parks, and public infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules for municipal assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on city projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in facility maintenance or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
