Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment including trucks, mowers, and hand tools
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of public facilities and parks
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Document maintenance activities and submit daily progress reports
- Respond to emergency service calls during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee Class C driver's license
- 2+ years of equipment operation or maintenance experience
- Certification in hazardous materials handling preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Background check and pre-employment drug screening required
