Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment for city beautification projects
- Respond to emergency service requests and storm damage repairs
- Conduct safety inspections and report infrastructure deficiencies
- Collaborate with engineering teams on urban development projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Assist with disaster preparedness and community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience in municipal maintenance or public works
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work outdoors in South Florida's climate conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Spanish language proficiency highly desirable
