Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of municipal roads, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, including snowplows, dump trucks, and landscaping equipment.
- Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance requests, particularly during severe weather events.
- Ensure the proper collection, disposal, and management of municipal waste and recycling.
- Inspect public facilities and grounds to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on vehicles and tools to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and light machinery operation.
- Experience in public works, landscaping, or general maintenance is preferred.
- Strong commitment to public safety and community service.
