Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on municipal buildings, parks, and public facilities
- Operate and repair heavy machinery including tractors, mowers, and irrigation systems
- Conduct safety inspections of playgrounds, sidewalks, and recreational equipment
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during extreme weather events
- Assist in landscaping projects and vegetation management
- Document maintenance activities and submit detailed reports
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in facility maintenance or equipment operation
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery safely
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
