Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of streets, sidewalks, alleys, and drainage structures to ensure safety and compliance.
- Operate and maintain heavy municipal equipment, including graders, rollers, sweepers, and backhoes.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and weather-related incidents promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic signs, pavement markings, and guardrails.
- Clear snow and ice from roads and parking lots during winter weather events.
- Collaborate with other municipal departments to coordinate large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and city policies at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Oklahoma Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus, but not mandatory for all roles.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in public works, construction, or general maintenance preferred.
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and drug screen.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance equipment is highly desirable.
