Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Ensure proper waste management, recycling collection, and sanitation procedures are followed.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during severe weather events such as heavy snowfall or flooding.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential safety hazards and wear and tear.
- Clean and maintain public facilities and green spaces to enhance the city's appearance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona Class C Driver’s License (CDL preferred).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous outdoor labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
