Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and public spaces
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and report repair needs
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment usage
- Collaborate with other departments on community improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in facility maintenance or landscaping
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., forklift, dump truck) preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or carpentry repairs
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
