Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on municipal infrastructure, including roads, signs, and landscaping.
- Operate heavy machinery and light trucks to transport materials and equipment.
- Respond to citizen inquiries and service requests regarding public works issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and OSHA standards while on duty.
- Assist in snow removal and ice control operations during inclement weather.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Collaborate with other city departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
