Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools, including backhoes, rollers, and jackhammers, safely and efficiently.
- Repair and maintain public buildings, parks, and recreational facilities.
- Assist in traffic control operations and emergency response situations as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with city safety codes and regulations.
- Respond to work orders and citizen inquiries regarding municipal infrastructure.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in construction, maintenance, or public works is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Strong commitment to public service and community integrity.
