Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain public facilities including parks, recreation centers, and municipal buildings
- Coordinate waste management and recycling programs across city districts
- Respond to citizen inquiries and service requests with professionalism and efficiency
- Conduct routine inspections of infrastructure and report maintenance needs
- Assist with emergency preparedness and disaster response coordination
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for community improvement projects
- Prepare and submit detailed service activity reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in public administration or facilities management
- Valid DC driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and municipal reporting systems
- Knowledge of DC municipal codes and regulations
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
