Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public facilities, parks, and roadways
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, forklifts, and trenchers safely
- Inspect and maintain storm drainage systems to prevent flooding
- Coordinate with engineering teams for infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls during extreme weather events
- Document work activities and maintain equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in municipal maintenance or construction
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
