Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of public streets, parks, and facilities to ensure a safe environment for citizens.
- Operate and maintain light to medium-duty municipal equipment, including trucks, mowers, and street sweepers.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during adverse weather conditions.
- Monitor waste management systems and report any infrastructure deficiencies or safety hazards.
- Interact with the public and other city departments to resolve service requests and ensure community satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while working in various weather conditions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination, including drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform heavy manual labor in outdoor environments.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred but not required.
- Strong commitment to public service and attention to detail.
