Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and repair of public infrastructure, streets, and facilities.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, backhoes, and street sweepers, following all safety protocols.
- Respond to and resolve citizen inquiries regarding municipal services and infrastructure issues efficiently.
- Assist in waste management, recycling programs, and snow removal operations during inclement weather.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with city safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Maryland Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
- Strong commitment to public service and community welfare.
- Basic knowledge of construction equipment or sanitation vehicles is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
