Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public roads, sidewalks, and parks.
- Operate heavy machinery, including dump trucks, loaders, and mowers, safely and efficiently.
- Collect and dispose of municipal waste and debris according to environmental regulations.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather events.
- Inspect public facilities to identify safety hazards or areas requiring improvement.
- Interact with the public and other city departments in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Valid Class C Kentucky Driver’s License is required; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and public service.
