Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure including sidewalks, parks, and municipal facilities
- Operate specialized equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, trucks) safely and efficiently
- Implement waste management protocols for public spaces and recycling programs
- Assist in emergency response operations during weather events or community crises
- Conduct routine inspections of public areas to identify maintenance needs
- Collaborate with urban planning teams on community beautification projects
- Ensure compliance with city ordinances and safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or facility maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly desirable
