Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including dump trucks, loaders, and grinders.
- Ensure proper waste collection, sanitation, and recycling services across designated zones.
- Inspect public property for hazards and report findings to supervisors immediately.
- Assist in snow and ice removal during winter weather events to ensure public safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License with a good driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to public service and teamwork.
